I am using an ethernet cable connected to a tp link 150 mbps tl wr700n router thingy because it won t connect to wifi.
Computer won t connect to ethernet cable.
I can connect to the internet no problem wireless and i can plug another computer into the same ethernet cable that i am trying to connect to and it works on that computer.
If that fixes the problem you came out with a very simple fix.
The ethernet cable s head should fit into the ethernet port on your computer with the lever side facing down.
When i try to connect wirelessly it will say the connection is limited.
I have many issues.
My laptop won t connect to the wifi anymore but it works perfectly fine with the ethernet cable.
I appreciate it very much if you tech geniuses could help me out.
Use an ethernet cable to connect your computer s ethernet port to a modem or other network device for example a switch or a router.
If your computer doesn t have an ethernet port try using a usb to ethernet adapter or a thunderbolt to gigabit ethernet adapter.
Computer won t connect to wifi nothing is working to fix it hi i have a windows 10 computer it is entirely wireless and therefore it does not need an ethernet cable and it s not like i have one anyways that is having the utmost difficulty connecting and staying connected to the internet.
When i hook the ethernet cable up the lights on the ethernet port on the side of the computer light up and it says that it has connected to a unidentified network but will.
I ve reset my computer and it still has the same issues.
In many cases you ll automatically connect to the internet.
My computer is being stubborn and won t connect to the internet.
If none of those tests fixes.
If that doesn t work swap ethernet cables even if you have to borrow or buy a new cable to do so.
